2008

Size:
1.5 million Square Feet

Total Budget:
$883 Million

Features:

The Province of British Columbia undertook an aggressive venture to expand its existing convention center by adding a wing consisting of over 1.5 million sq. ft. This multi-purpose expansion houses exhibit halls, meeting rooms, and ballrooms to serve Vancouver and the greater Northwest Pacific. An exciting feature to this project is a harbor concourse that connects both the North and South facilities. In addition to the complete design of all expansion food and beverage facilities, WC&A was requested to assist the owner in the development and coordination of a caterer contract by assisting with the development of the RFP and sample contract documents for this work. WC&A coordinated proposal meetings, reviewed written proposals, selected and scored a short listing of proposers, set the presentation format, and recommended a final selection of a foodservice provider for this long-term contract.
